#### 70 Appointment of authorised officers 70 Appointment of authorised officers > > (1) The Minister may appoint any of the following persons as an authorised officer for the purposes of this Act— > > > > > (a) an employee of the Corporation, > > > > > (b) a person employed in the Public Service, > > > > > (c) a member of staff of a land manager other than the Corporation, > > > > > (d) a person of a class prescribed by the regulations. > > > (2) The Minister may, in and by the instrument of the authorised officer’s appointment, limit the functions that an authorised officer may exercise under this Act (including limiting the purposes for or area in which the functions may be exercised). > > > (3) A person referred to in subsection (1)(c) or (d) who is not a member of staff of a government sector agency may only exercise the functions of an authorised officer if the exercise of those functions is subject to the control and direction of the Corporation or a public sector agency or of an employee of the Corporation or a government sector agency. > > **s 70:** Am 2015 No 58, Sch 3.36 \[6\] \[7\].
