This Order gives itself a short title (s1), takes effect when its making is notified in the Gazette (s2), and identifies the Forest Practices Act 1985 as the Principal Act (s3). Clause 4 records that the amendments effected by the Order have been incorporated into the authorised version of that Act. It therefore changes the published legal text of the Principal Act and is administered by the Forest Practices Authority; the practical obligations, compliance costs and enforcement depend on the specific amendments incorporated (cl.4; admin note).
