4B Objective of Authority

(1)  [Section 4B Subsection (1) amended by No. 55 of 2004, s. 8, Applied:01 Jul 2005] The Authority is part of the State's forest practices system, the objective of which is set out in Schedule 7 .

(2)  [Section 4B Subsection (2) amended by No. 55 of 2004, s. 8, Applied:01 Jul 2005] The Authority is to act in all matters in a manner that –

(a) best advances the objective of the State's forest practices system; and

(b) [Section 4B Subsection (2) amended by No. 7 of 2013, Sched. 9, Applied:03 Jun 2013] fosters a co-operative approach towards policy development and management in forest practices matters; and

(c) [Section 4B Subsection (2) amended by No. 7 of 2013, Sched. 9, Applied:03 Jun 2013] takes into account social, economic and environmental outcomes of its decision-making processes.
