### 47 Proceedings and prosecutions
> > (1) [*\[Section 47 Subsection (1) amended by No. 55 of 2004, s. 77, Applied:01 Jul 2005\]*](/view/html/inforce/2005-07-01/act-2004-055#GS77@Hpa@EN) Notwithstanding anything in the [Justices Act 1959](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1959-077) to the contrary, proceedings in respect of an offence against this Act may be commenced at any time within a period of 3 years after the time when the offence is alleged to have been committed.

> > > > (a) the chief forest practices officer; or
> > >
> > > > (b) a police officer; or
