Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation cancels (repeals) the Forest and Wood Products Research and Development Corporation Regulations 1993.

When regulations are repealed, they cease to have legal effect immediately. This means the old rules that governed how the Forest and Wood Products Research and Development Corporation operated—covering things like membership, meetings, and funding—no longer apply.

This type of legislation is typically used for administrative cleanup, such as when a government body is being wound up, merged into another organisation, or no longer requires a specific regulatory framework. In this case, it removed the legal foundation for a research body that supported Australia's forestry and wood products industries.
