sec.14A Appointment
The Minister may appoint an appropriately qualified person to be a deputy director of Forensic Science Queensland. However, a person must not be appointed as a deputy director if the person— has a conviction, other than a spent conviction, for an indictable offence; or is an insolvent under administration. A deputy director is appointed under this Act and not under the Public Sector Act 2022 . s 14A ins 2025 No. 18 s 59J (sec.14A-ssec.1) The Minister may appoint an appropriately qualified person to be a deputy director of Forensic Science Queensland. (sec.14A-ssec.2) However, a person must not be appointed as a deputy director if the person— has a conviction, other than a spent conviction, for an indictable offence; or is an insolvent under administration. (sec.14A-ssec.3) A deputy director is appointed under this Act and not under the Public Sector Act 2022 .
- (a) has a conviction, other than a spent conviction, for an indictable offence; or
- (b) is an insolvent under administration.
