This order gives a short title for the instrument, fixes its start date to the day it is notified in the Gazette (cl.2), and expressly links the instrument to the Forensic Procedures Act 2000 as the Principal Act (cl.3). Clause 4 records that the amendment made by the order has been incorporated into the authorised version of the principal Act. It is an administrative instrument that updates the official statutory text and determines timing; it does not itself set out substantive forensic powers or obligations.
