This chapter sets out the egg food safety scheme (the egg scheme ). The egg scheme gives effect to particular requirements of the food standards code, standard 4.2.5 Primary production and processing standard for eggs and egg product (Australia only) . At the commencement of this section, the standards were able to be viewed at www.foodstandards.gov.au/code/Pages/default.aspx.
