This chapter sets out the meat food safety scheme (the meat scheme ). The meat scheme gives effect to particular requirements of the food standards code, standards 4.2.2 Primary production and processing standard for poultry meat (Australia only) and 4.2.3 Production and processing standard for meat (Australia only) . At the commencement of this section, the standards were able to be viewed at www.foodstandards.gov.au/code/Pages/default.aspx.
