sec.16EA Acting chairperson
The Minister may appoint a director to act as the chairperson of the board during— any vacancy, or all vacancies, in the office of the chairperson; or any period, or all periods, when the chairperson is absent from duty, or cannot, for another reason, perform the duties of the office. Subsection (1) does not affect the application of the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 24B or 25 for the appointment. s 16EA ins 2020 No. 3 s 100 (sec.16EA-ssec.1) The Minister may appoint a director to act as the chairperson of the board during— any vacancy, or all vacancies, in the office of the chairperson; or any period, or all periods, when the chairperson is absent from duty, or cannot, for another reason, perform the duties of the office.
