57 Seized substances or things (1) A substance or thing may, at the option of an authorised officer, be detained in the premises where it was found or be removed to another place and be detained there. (2) If the substance or thing is detained in the premises where it was found, the authorised officer: (a) may place it in a room, compartment or cabinet in those premises; (b) may mark, fasten and seal the door or opening providing access to that room, compartment or cabinet; and (c) must ensure that it is marked in a manner that indicates that it has been seized under this Act.
