18A Public consultation on a Biodiversity Strategy (1) Before making a Biodiversity Strategy, the Secretary must publish— (a) on the Internet— (i) a copy of the draft strategy; and (ii) a statement that submissions on the draft strategy may be made to the Secretary on or before a specified date, being at least 30 days after publication; and (b) in a newspaper circulating generally throughout Victoria a notice that— (i) summarises the contents of the draft strategy; and (ii) specifies where a copy of the draft strategy can be obtained; and (iii) states that submissions on the draft strategy may be made to the Secretary on or before a specified date, being at least 30 days after publication of the notice in the newspaper. (2) The Secretary must consider any submissions received on or before the specified date. S. 18B inserted by No. 28/2019 s. 12.
