23 Total allowable catch for commercial scallop fishery
(1) The quota period during which the total allowable catch for the commercial scallop fishery may be taken is the period determined to be the open season for the commercial scallop fishery.
(2) The Minister is to allocate the portion of the total allowable catch allocated to the commercial scallop fishery to the holders of fishing licences (scallop) according to the number of scallop quota units held and owned by those licensees in respect of those licences immediately before the commencement of the open season referred to in subrule (1).
