13 Opening and closure of D'Entrecasteaux Channel
(1) The D'Entrecasteaux Channel is closed to the non-commercial scallop fishery for all species of scallop unless the Minister determines that it is open under subrule (2)(a) or subrule (2)(b) .
(2) [Rule 13 Subrule (2) amended by S.R. 2025, No. 10, Applied:09 Apr 2025] The Minister, by published notice, may determine that the D'Entrecasteaux Channel–
(a) is open to the non-commercial scallop fishery; or
(b) is open to the non-commercial scallop fishery for a specified species of scallop.
(3) If the Minister makes a determination under subrule (2)(b) , the D'Entrecasteaux Channel is closed to the non-commercial scallop fishery for all species of scallop other than the species specified in the determination.
