Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This order temporarily shifts two boundary lines of the Commonwealth Great Australian Bight Trawl Sector, changing where trawl fishing is permitted. It directly affects commercial trawl operators in the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery by altering legal fishing grounds.

The change amends two GPS endpoints in the management plan and was made by the AFMA CEO under temporary-order powers so it takes effect immediately.
