#### 18 Fish and waters protected from commercial fishing 18 Fish and waters protected from commercial fishing > > (1) For the purposes of section 20 (2) of the Act, Schedule 2 specifies the particular waters in which all commercial fishing, or a particular class of commercial fishing, is prohibited. > > > (2) For the purposes of section 20 (2) of the Act, commercial fishing other than the following commercial fishing activities is prohibited in all ocean and estuarine waters— > > > > > (a) a fishing activity referred to in Schedule 1 to the Act, > > > > > (b) the taking of sea urchin or turban shell, > > > > > (c) the use of an otter trawl net (fish) or danish seine trawl net (fish) to take fish (other than prawns) from ocean waters that are not more than 3 nautical miles from the natural coast line and are south of a line drawn due east from Barrenjoey Headland, > > > > > (d) the taking of fish from Lord Howe Island waters. > > > (3) For the purposes of section 20 (2) of the Act, any commercial fishing activity other than the taking of yabbies or carp is prohibited in all inland waters.
