#### 172 Endorsements do not authorise unlawful use of fishing gear 172 Endorsements do not authorise unlawful use of fishing gear > An endorsement on a commercial fishing licence that authorises the holder of the licence to take fish for sale, or to assist in taking fish for sale, in a restricted fishery using a net, trap or other fishing gear is subject to Part 3. That is, the endorsement does not authorise the use of a net, trap or other fishing gear contrary to that Part.
