#### 40T Transfer of quota 40T Transfer of quota > > (1) The regulations may provide for the transfer of quota between commercial fishing authority holders. > > > (2) A commercial fishing authority holder may transfer to any other commercial fishing authority holder the whole or any part of the authority holder’s quota in accordance with the regulations. > > > (3) Subject to the regulations, a quota for a fishing period is not transferable after the end of the fishing period. > > > (4) The regulations may authorise a commercial fishing authority holder— > > > > > (a) to transfer to the next fishing period any part of the quota for the current fishing period that is not taken during the current period, or > > > > > (b) to transfer to the current fishing period part of the quota for the next fishing period. > > **ss 40P–40T:** Ins 2015 No 59, Sch 1 \[21\].
