30 Continuation of permits
> > (1) A permit issued by the Minister under a repealed provision and in force immediately before the repeal of the repealed provision continues to have effect on that repeal.
>
> > (2) The permit remains in force for the period for which it was issued under the repealed provision, unless it is sooner cancelled.
>
> > (3) On the repeal of the repealed provision, the [Biosecurity Act 2015](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2015-024) applies in respect of the permit as if it had been granted by a relevant decision-maker under Part 21 of that Act.
>
> > (4) The permit is authority to engage in the conduct authorised by the permit for the purposes of both this Act (to the extent that the repealed provisions continue to have effect) and the [Biosecurity Act 2015](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2015-024) (to the extent it would otherwise prohibit the conduct concerned).
>
> > (5) Any conditions of the permit imposed by the Minister under this Act that were in force immediately before the amendments made by the [Biosecurity Act 2015](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2015-024) are taken on the commencement of those amendments to be conditions of the permit under the [Biosecurity Act 2015](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2015-024) (as if they had been imposed by a relevant decision-maker under section 347 of the [Biosecurity Act 2015](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2015-024)).

> > (6) To avoid doubt, a permit is also subject to any conditions prescribed by the regulations or imposed by a relevant decision-maker under the [Biosecurity Act 2015](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2015-024).
