#### 280 Evidence relating to fishing authorities 280 Evidence relating to fishing authorities > In any proceedings for an offence under this Act or the regulations, a certificate signed or purporting to be signed by the Secretary, or an officer of the Department authorised in writing by the Secretary to exercise the functions conferred by this section, and stating that— > > > (a) a person named in the certificate was or was not at a specified time the holder of a fishing authority of a specified kind, or > > > (b) a fishing authority held by a specified person was or was not subject to a specified condition, > > is admissible and is evidence of the matters stated in the certificate. > > **s 280:** Am 2004 No 26, Sch 1 \[43\].
