sch.4-sec.153E Way fish may be taken

Fish may be taken only by using— mesh nets in the way stated in subdivision 2 ; or set pocket nets in the way stated in subdivision 3 . Unless otherwise stated in this part, a mesh net that is neither fixed nor hauled must not be used— in a marked navigation channel; or within— 400m of a jetty or wharf; or 100m of another net that is being used. Only 1 mesh net may be used at the same time to take fish. Despite subsection (3) , a single mesh net may be split into 2 or more pieces after the fish are taken, to remove the fish from the mesh net. Only 1 part of a general purpose mesh net may be fixed while it is being used in offshore waters. One end of a mesh net may be fixed temporarily while shooting or hauling the net.
