A net used for the primary purpose of taking principal fish other than principal bugs or scallops must have— for a net used in the following areas—a mesh size of at least 38mm but no more than 60mm— the Hervey Bay area; the Facing Island area; the Keppel Bay area; the Repulse Bay area; the Cleveland Bay area; the deep water net area; or for a net used in the Laguna Bay area—a mesh size of at least 28mm; or for a net used in an area, other than an area mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b) — a mesh size of at least 43mm but no more than 60mm; and a cod end with a mesh size of at least 38mm and no more than 150 rows of mesh from the drawstring.
