#### 10C Minister may give directions to CEO about foreign compliance (1) The Minister may give written directions to the CEO about the performance and exercise of the foreign compliance functions and powers of the Authority. (2) Directions given by the Minister under subsection (1) may relate to a particular case. (3) The CEO must comply with any direction given by the Minister under subsection (1). (4) The Minister must cause a copy of each direction given under subsection (1) to be tabled in each House of the Parliament within 15 sitting days of that House after giving the direction. (5) Subsection (4) does not apply in relation to a particular direction if the Minister determines, in writing, that compliance with the subsection is undesirable because compliance would, or would be likely to, be prejudicial to the national interest of Australia. (6) Neither a direction made under subsection (1) nor a determination made under subsection (5) is a legislative instrument.
