149 Licences and permits—general provisions

(1) While a licence is suspended under this Act, the person who holds the licence is to be treated as if he or she did not hold the licence.

(2) Nothing in subsection (1) is intended to interfere with the right of the person to hold the licence—subsection (1) is merely intended to ensure that the person cannot exercise the rights of a licence holder while the licence is suspended.

(3) The holder of a licence or permit or the personal representative of a deceased holder of a licence or permit or a registered financial interest in a licence may surrender the licence or permit in accordance with the regulations.
