127 Time for bringing proceedings (1) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act, proceedings for an offence— (a) which is prescribed for the purposes of this section may be commenced within the period prescribed (not exceeding 3 years) in respect of that offence; (b) other than an offence to which paragraph (a) applies, may be commenced within the period of 18 months— after the commission of the alleged offence.
