113 Interference with lawful fishing activities or aquaculture activities (1) A person must not, without reasonable excuse— (a) prevent a person from lawfully fishing or using prescribed commercial aquaculture equipment; or (b) hinder a person who is lawfully fishing or using prescribed commercial aquaculture equipment; or (c) place or leave anything in Victorian waters that obstructs the lawful use of fishing equipment or prescribed commercial aquaculture equipment. 1. 50 penalty units or imprisonment for 3 months or both. (2) If a court convicts a person of an offence against subsection (1) or finds a person guilty of an offence against subsection (1), the court may, in addition to any penalty imposed under that subsection, order the person to pay compensation for any damage or loss caused by the offence to any person.
