18Registration of fishing vessels

18 Registration of fishing vessels (1) The owner of a vessel may apply to the Director to have the vessel registered. (2) After considering the application, the Director may register the vessel for a period of not more than 10 years if satisfied that: the registration; and (b) any requirements or matters prescribed by regulation as being relevant to an application for registration have been satisfied; and (c) it is otherwise appropriate to do so, taking into consideration any Ministerial Guidelines and any matter the Director Director must refuse to register the vessel.
