16B Restriction on licensee performing fishing operations (1) Despite section 10 or 11, a licence or permit does not authorise the licensee to perform personally any of the fishing operations authorised by the licence or permit unless: (a) the licensee is an approved operator; or (b) the licensee has the approval of the Director; or (c) the licence or permit is of a class prescribed by regulation for this paragraph. (2) The Director may give approval under subsection (1)(b): (a) subject to any conditions specified by the Director; and (b) for the period specified by the Director; and (c) in any manner the Director considers appropriate. (3) The Director may revoke an approval under subsection (1)(b) at any time by giving written notice to the licensee.
