13Applicants who have dependent children

##### 13 Applicants who have dependent children A person is, for the purposes of this Act, to be treated as being a dependent child of an applicant if, and only if: (a) the person: (i) was born during the period commencing on the date that is the prescribed date in relation to the applicant and ending at the expiration of the first anniversary of that date; or (ii) was under the age of 18 years on that date; and (b) the person has at any time during that period been in the custody, care and control of, and ordinarily resident with, the applicant.
