Tasmania act
This Act amends the First Home Owner Grant Act 2000 by substituting a provision (section 8) and fixing commencement dates: some parts are treated as having started on 15 October 2003 and the remainder start 1 January 2004. It directly affects people applying for the first home owner grant, the Commissioner who administers the scheme and any private administrators engaged under section 31(2).
Mechanically, the substituted section 8 is applied to all applications received on or after 15 October 2003 (s10), changing which applications are governed and creating corresponding administrative and compliance duties for the Commissioner and applicants.
