124 Exemption for ADF, police and public servants posted outside NSW
> > (1) A person to whom this clause applies has the benefit of the following provisions while the person is resident outside NSW as a result of being posted to a position outside NSW or being required to reside outside NSW as a condition of the person’s employment—
> >
> > > (a) a licence held by the person cannot be revoked merely because the person is not a resident of NSW,
> > >
> > > Note—
> > >
> > > See the Act, sections 11(3)(d) and 24(2)(a).

> > > (b) the person is exempt from the requirements of Part 10 (Participation requirements for club members) while the person is posted to a position or required to reside outside NSW.

> > (2) A person to whom this clause applies is not entitled to the benefit of this clause unless the person notifies the Commissioner in writing or in such other manner as may be approved within 30 days after ceasing to be a resident of NSW.
>
> > (3) This clause applies to the following persons—
> >
> > > (a) a member of the Australian Defence Force,
> >
> > > (b) a police officer of the State or the Commonwealth,
> >
> > > (c) a person employed in the Public Service, the Teaching Service, the NSW Health Service or the NSW Police Service.

> > (4) To avoid doubt, this clause does not—

> > > (a) permit the removal of a firearm to, or the storage of a firearm in, a place outside NSW, or
> >
> > > (b) exempt a person from a law of another jurisdiction relating to the possession of firearms.
