86 Minors firearms licences—requirement for further (1) This section applies to an application for— (a) a minors firearms licence; or (b) an extension under section 95 (Minors firearms licences— period in force). grounds that the applicant’s mental health may affect the applicant’s ability to handle firearms responsibly, the registrar may ask the applicant to consent to the disclosure to the registrar of personal health information about the applicant from a health record relating to the applicant. consent must be in writing and signed by a parent or legally appointed guardian of the applicant, or someone else with parental responsibility for the applicant, and name the health service provider who made the health record.
