78 Adult firearms licences—period in force
(1) An adult firearms licence begins on the day it is issued and remains
in force, subject to this Act—
(a) for 5 years; or
(b) if a shorter period is prescribed by regulation—for the shorter
period prescribed; or
(c) for a category D licence—until the date (the end date) decided
by the registrar.
(2) The end date must not be more than 12 months after the day the
licence begins.
Example—s (1)
An adult firearms licence is issued on 1 January 2009. It ends on 31 December 2013
(at the end of that day).
