48 Offence—failing to surrender firearms when licence
suspended or cancelled
(a) the person’s licence is suspended or cancelled; and
(b) the person intentionally or negligently fails to surrender any
firearm in the person’s possession to a police officer—
firearm, and the person has the firearm—immediately; or
(ii) as soon as possible after the day the person is given notice
of the suspension or cancellation; or
(iii) if a longer time is stated in the notice—within the time
