267 Investigations
(1) If a complaint is made under section 266 the registrar—
(a) may make the investigations of the subject matter of the
complaint that the registrar thinks fit; and
(b) must give notice of the making of the complaint and the grounds
on which it is based to the person against whom the complaint
is made.
(2) The registrar may cancel a licence if, after making investigations
under subsection (1), the registrar is satisfied that a ground exists on
which the registrar may cancel the licence.
(3) For this section, the registrar may by writing signed by the registrar
require a person—
(a) to give to the registrar information relevant to the investigation;
or
(b) to produce to the registrar such books, documents, or writing, or
any firearm, in their possession.
