25 Unregulated firearms—seizure by police A police officer may seize a thing if the police officer believes on reasonable grounds that the thing is an unregulated firearm and that the seizure is necessary— (a) because the thing would pose a risk to the safety of anyone if used; and (b) to prevent the thing from being used or concealed, lost or destroyed.
