247 Offence—selling ammunition for starting pistols
(1) A licensed firearms dealer must not sell ammunition to a person if the
dealer knows or believes on reasonable grounds that the person
intends to discharge it from a starting pistol.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply if—
(a) the dealer is satisfied on reasonable grounds that the person has
an approved reason for requiring the starting pistol; and
(b) the ammunition is a blank cartridge.
