176 Offence—failing to notify event causing cancellation of
user registration
(a) the person’s registration as a user is cancelled under section 175;
and
(b) the person does not, within 7 days after the day the registration
is cancelled, tell the registrar in writing about the reason for the
cancellation.
(2) The holder of a composite entity licence commits an offence if—
(a) a person who is an employee of the entity is a registered user of
a firearm of which the entity is the registered owner; and
(b) the person stops being employed by the entity; and
(c) the entity does not, within 7 days after the day the person stops
being employed by the entity, tell the registrar in writing about
the end of the employment.
(3) A licensed firearms dealer commits an offence if—
(a) a person who is an employee of the dealer is a registered user of
a firearm of which the dealer is the registered owner; and
(b) the person stops being employed by the dealer; and
(c) the dealer does not, within 7 days after the day the person stops
being employed by the dealer, tell the registrar in writing about
the end of the employment.
