164 Firearm registration notice (a) registers a firearm under section 162; or (b) registers a person as a user of a firearm under section 170; or (c) records in the register, as prescribed by regulation, a change in the owner and user particulars for a firearm. (2) The registrar must issue a firearm registration notice to the registered owner of the firearm. (3) The registrar may also, but need not, issue a firearm registration notice to each registered user of the firearm. (4) However, if a registered user of a firearm applies to the registrar for a firearm registration notice for the firearm, the registrar must issue the notice to the user.
