138 Interstate residents moving to ACT—category A, B, and
paintball marker licences
(b) is the holder of an interstate licence that corresponds to a
category A licence, category B licence or paintball marker
(c) notifies the registrar in writing that they intend to live in the
ACT permanently.
(2) The interstate licence is, subject to any direction of the registrar, taken
to be the corresponding local licence until the earlier of the following:
(a) the end of the period of 3 months beginning on the day after the
day the individual notifies the registrar under subsection (1);
(b) if the person applies for a corresponding local licence before the
end of the 3-month period—the day the registrar issues, or
refuses to issue, the licence to the individual.
