sec.7K Appointment
The commissioner is to appoint a deputy commissioner. A person is eligible for appointment as deputy commissioner if the person has— professional firefighting experience; and incident control expertise; and fire prevention expertise. The commissioner must have regard to the matters mentioned in section 25B when appointing a person as the deputy commissioner. The deputy commissioner is to be employed under this Act and not the Public Sector Act 2022 . s 7K ins 2024 No. 22 s 28 (sec.7K-ssec.1) The commissioner is to appoint a deputy commissioner. (sec.7K-ssec.2) A person is eligible for appointment as deputy commissioner if the person has— professional firefighting experience; and incident control expertise; and fire prevention expertise. (sec.7K-ssec.3) The commissioner must have regard to the matters mentioned in section 25B when appointing a person as the deputy commissioner. (sec.7K-ssec.4) The deputy commissioner is to be employed under this Act and not the Public Sector Act 2022 .
