sec.148H Agent may act for owner
A requirement imposed on an owner to comply with this division in relation to a smoke alarm at a domestic dwelling may be complied with for the owner by the owner’s agent. However, if the owner is a lessor, subsection (1) does not permit the lessor’s tenant to be, and the lessor’s tenant must not be, the lessor’s agent for the purpose of complying with this division. s 148H (prev s 104RJ) ins 2006 No. 49 s 37 reloc and renum 2024 No. 22 s 56 (2) (sec.148H-ssec.1) A requirement imposed on an owner to comply with this division in relation to a smoke alarm at a domestic dwelling may be complied with for the owner by the owner’s agent.
