### 116 Service of notices > > (1)  Except as otherwise provided in this Act, a notice required or authorized by this Act to be served on or given to any person may be so served or given – > > > > > > (a) by delivering it personally to that person; > > > > > > > (b) by leaving it for him at his usual or last-known place of residence or business with some person who is apparently over the age of 16 years and who apparently resides at that place of residence or is employed at that place of business; > > > > > > > (c) by sending it by certified mail addressed to him at his usual or last-known place of residence or business; or > > > > > > > (d) in such other manner as may be prescribed. > > > (2)  A notice required or authorized to be served on or given to the owner or occupier of any land or premises may be addressed to him as the owner or occupier of that land or those premises without further name or description.
