21 Conflicts of interest (1) If the Fire Rescue Commissioner or a Deputy Fire Rescue Commissioner has a conflict of interest in a matter arising in the course of duty, the Fire Rescue Commissioner or Deputy Fire Rescue Commissioner, as the case requires, must declare the conflict to the Minister as soon as reasonably practicable. (2) If the Fire Rescue Commissioner or a Deputy Fire Rescue Commissioner has made a conflict of interest declaration under subsection (1) in relation to a matter, the Fire Rescue Commissioner or Deputy Fire Rescue Commissioner, as the case requires, must not take any further part in decisions relating to that matter, unless otherwise directed to do so by the Minister. (3) For the purposes of this section, a person is not to be regarded as having a conflict of interest in a matter relating to the supply of goods or services to the person if the goods or services are, or are to be, available to members of the public on the same terms and conditions.
