70 Variation, cancellation or suspension of attachment of earnings direction (1) If an attachment of earnings direction is in force, the Director may vary, cancel or suspend the direction— (a) on the Director's own motion; or (b) on the application of the fine defaulter in respect of whom the attachment of earnings direction has been made; or (c) on the application of the person to whom the attachment of earnings direction is directed. (2) The Director must cause notice of a variation, cancellation or suspension of an attachment of earnings direction made under subsection (1) to be served on— (a) the fine defaulter in respect of whom the attachment of earnings direction was made; and (b) the person to whom the attachment of earnings direction is directed.
