196 Attachment of debts order (1) An attachment of debts order made by an infringements registrar in respect of a person under section 129 of the **Infringements Act 2006**, on and from the repeal of that section— (a) is taken to be an attachment of debts direction made by the Director in respect of a fine defaulter; and (b) all rights and duties that apply in respect of an attachment of debts direction under this Act apply to the attachment of debts order made under the **Infringements Act 2006** as if it had been made under this Act. (2) If a person has applied for an attachment of debts order under section 129 of the **Infringements Act 2006** immediately before the repeal of that section and on that repeal, that application is pending, the Director may consider the application under this Act as if that application were an application for an attachment of debts direction.
