127 Detention or immobilisation of motor vehicles (1) If a police officer intercepts a motor vehicle of a registered operator against whom an enforcement warrant has been issued or the sheriff or a police officer finds parked or left standing such a motor vehicle, the sheriff or police officer may— (a) detain or immobilise, whether by wheel clamps or any other means, that motor vehicle, whether attended or not; and (b) if necessary, remove that motor vehicle to a convenient place, including if appropriate a place of impoundment. (2) This section applies despite Part 10 and anything to the contrary in an enforcement warrant.
