19 Effect of payment under courtesy letter If the penalty under an infringement notice to which a courtesy letter relates is paid (together with the prescribed costs) by the due date specified in the courtesy letter, or the further time allowed under section 12B, the alleged offence is expiated and no further proceedings can be taken in relation to the offence unless the letter is withdrawn.
