100 Definitions
In this Part:
conviction means a finding of guilt or order entered or made by a
court (before or after the commencement of this Part) in
proceedings for an offence.
fine includes:
(a) a monetary penalty, monetary forfeiture and monetary
compensation; and
Fines and Penalties (Recovery) Act 2001 60
(b) fees, charges and costs payable by a body corporate under an
order made in proceedings in which a conviction was entered
in respect of the body corporate.
Northern Territory fine means a fine payable under a conviction of
a Northern Territory court.
reciprocating court means a court or a court included in a class of
courts declared under section 101 to be a reciprocating court or a
class of reciprocating courts.
relevant officer, in relation to a reciprocating court, means a
registrar or other corresponding officer of the court.
