Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This Determination requires authorised deposit‑taking institutions (ADIs) and registered financial corporations (RFCs) above specified asset thresholds to submit detailed deposit breakdowns to APRA using ARF 720.2A (standard) or ARF 720.2B (reduced). The data feed the ABS and RBA (national accounts, monetary aggregates) and may also be used by APRA (paras 2,4). Reporting institutions pay the compliance costs: electronic submission, digital signing, internal controls and annual external‑auditor review. APRA sets thresholds, may change frequency or exemptions, and may vary minor form instructions (paras 8,10,13,5,11,16).
